The City of Yale is currently seeking applications for a Utility Director.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to:
    • Climb, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds

    • Work in a safe manner to protect themselves and fellow workers

  • Supervision of staff is required within the sewer, water, gas, and electric departments

Applicant must be willing and able to:

  • Obtain a Class D Water and Wastewater license within 6 months

  • Train and learn lineman duties

  • Possess a valid OK driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 90 days

Responsibilities include:

  • Compliance reporting to:
    • ODEQ regarding water and wastewater

    • OCC regarding federal gas regulations

  • Street and sidewalk maintenance

  • Training of staff for all utility departments

  • Okie-811 reporting

  • Any other duties as assigned by the City Manager

Additional Information:

  • Electrical experience is preferred but not required
