The City of Yale is currently seeking applications for a Utility Director.
Requirements:
- Must be able to:
- Climb, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds
- Work in a safe manner to protect themselves and fellow workers
- Supervision of staff is required within the sewer, water, gas, and electric departments
Applicant must be willing and able to:
- Obtain a Class D Water and Wastewater license within 6 months
- Train and learn lineman duties
- Possess a valid OK driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 90 days
Responsibilities include:
- Compliance reporting to:
- ODEQ regarding water and wastewater
- OCC regarding federal gas regulations
- Street and sidewalk maintenance
- Training of staff for all utility departments
- Okie-811 reporting
- Any other duties as assigned by the City Manager
Additional Information:
- Electrical experience is preferred but not required
